The Cmeo Collective MBFWA runway show was bursting with must-buy pieces, which is just one of the reasons why it was among my favourite shows at this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. A range of oversized shirts and structured suits, set alongside feminine silhouettes and floaty hemlines. Perfectly paired with jewels from Dinosaur Designs and heels from JAGGAR Footwear.

Key styles from the collection; A white mini dress with layered pleats (pictured above), shirts featuring fluted sleeves, thigh-high slits and sleek skirts complete with lush ’20s style fringe detailing. Splashed with a neutral colour palette of blush, blue, black and white, this collection can not only be paired back with itself, but your entire wardrobe. If you’re wish list is anything like mine, I would start saving for October! Can’t wait till then? Shop the current Cmeo Collective collection at the Fashion Bunker here.

Channelling a mood of luxe free spirited bohemia, the Bec And Bridge MBFWA runway show was another one of my favourite collections presented at this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. Inspired by a recent trip to India, designers Becky and Bridget explored the visual explosion of culture, colour and chaos. Designing a resort collection which celebrates the spirit of an Indian summer.

Relaxed two-piece separates, one shouldered styles and free flowing dresses were key. Featuring unique details; Including raw hand-woven cottons, glowing embellishments and cascading trails of fabric, hanging from sleeves, ties and skirts. The continuity of fabric, delicate cut outs and textured embroidery created a stunning consistency and a resort mood of effortless styling. All brought to life in a perfect palette of gold, white, black and soft pink…

If you plan to escape our chilly Sydney weather for sunnier days overseas you will want to pick up at least one of six pieces already available to purchase from the collection via the Bec and Bridge website here. The rest of the collection will be available later in the year just in time for our Australian summer.

If you’re anything like me you would have already fallen in love with Georgia Alice. The New Zealand label who has taken the cool credentials of oversized dressing and elevated them with some very clever detailing and a definitive signature style. The labels MBFWA debut collection, a combination of easy silhouettes and fluid silk separates was one of my favourite presented at this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.

Featuring exaggerated sleeve styles, luxe fabrications and ribbon-like sashes in a muted colour palette. Each look was perfectly teamed with a pair of roman-styled sandals. They weren’t an obvious choice but I have no doubt that every fashion lover is sure to be wearing these by summer. To purchase the current Georgia Alice collection click here. Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia has come to an end and although you may have already seen the shows and read the reviews; You still need to know what you’ll be wearing this summer. Over the next few days I’ll be featuring my favourite shows with an edit of the key trends, stand-out runway pieces in detail and the items which you should pre-order for summer now to ensure your new season wardrobe is on point. I’ll also be sharing an edit of my favourite beauty looks, that I was lucky enough to go through backstage with some of the best make-up artists and hair stylists in the industry.

First up, the glitzy metallic accents and flowing fabrics of the By Johnny MBFWA runway show. I have to admit the first look above was my absolute favourite of the week and an entire outfit I can’t wait to get my hands on when it becomes available later this year. Set amongst a tight monochrome colour palette, fresh textures, asymmetric hemlines and easy relaxed shapes. The collection was perfectly paired with loose flowing hair, dewy, fresh skin, brushed-up brows, soft pink lips and summers essential strappy sandal. Can’t wait for summer? Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia

Mercedes-Benz Presents Maticevski - Backstage - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2016

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia begins today, which means among many other things, that I have spent the last week or so mentally rifling through my wardrobe, writing off everything I own and slowly panicking that I will literally have nothing to wear. After all I am only attending four out of a potential six days so every outfit needs to be perfect.

In an attempt to fill those gaps in my Fashion Week wardrobe, I took to the web and made a few last minute purchases from a range of Australian designers and brands I admire. Completing each and every look head to toe. So, here is a small edit of the key items that I will be wearing this Fashion Week…

Chloe Drew Small Leather Shoulder Bag. I don’t want to lug a big heavy bag around all day so I will be cutting down my handbag essentials and packing them into into my new Chloe Shoulder Bag. Not only will it be easier to get around with a smaller bag. It’s also the perfect option for day-to-night.

Chanel Ballet Flats. This Fashion Week I’ll be living in my Chanel Ballet flats. I know everyone else will be in heels, but I want to make sure I am comfortable when I’m racing from one show to the next. That I’m not likely to trip over myself at any stage; And they are perfectly paired with every look.

Keepsake The Label Vertigo Skirt. My Keepsake Vertigo Skirt is such a staple in my closet as it can be worn anywhere and quite literally goes with everything. It’s also a little more special than your basic black skirt with its flared panel details and beautiful luxe satin fabric.

I’ll be posting a tight edit of everything you need to know and see from each day, as well as putting together a detailed debrief on each of my own looks, all my favourite shows and beauty trends at the end of the week.
