Three Feet Deep

Life right now is veined with simple gold. Morning lattes. Afternoon light. Short walks around my block. Catching up on sleep at every opportunity. Spending the days make-up free. Freshly painted nails. And of course, seeing my work published from styling projects completed before we all hit the pause button.

In hindsight it seems strange that I’ve never shared my work on this platform, but there’s no time like the present to start doing so. Above are some of my favorite images Ocean Drive Magazine’s March cover shoot which I was lucky enough to style, photographed by Rio Cam and starring beauty Charlotte McKinney.

Outfit details: Alexander Wang Tuxedo Hybrid Bodysuit. YSL Black Mini Skirt. Wolford Stockings. YSL Black Leather Anja 105 Pump. Retro Super Future Sunglasses. Attico Ostrich Embroidered Strapless Mini Dress. YSL Heels. Alessandra Rich Half Sphere Earrings. Versace Accessories Print Bra Top. Versace Brocade Flare Pant. And vintage earrings.

Shop all three of these looks at The Webster online here and read the Charlotte Unfiltered editorial in this months Ocean Drive Magazine here.

It’s funny how a single moment can make your heart beat so fast when you don’t want it to beat at all. It’s unnerving how a split second can make you feel like you’re either on top of the world, or under it. And it’s photos like these that make you remember how beautiful the world is, before it all comes crashing down.

Today I tried to find some solace, soaking up the sunshine in LA and browsing through my favorite online stores. The pieces I love from the Aje Spring Summer Vice collection; The Waves Mini Dress, Holiday Crop Shirt, Floral Printed Logo T-Shirt, Pippi Embellished Mini Skirt and Filomena Frill Strap Camisole in floral print. Find them for yourself here.

Checking in with a very quick post because it’s one in the morning and a hot shower and sleep has been on my to-do list for the past few hours! But first I wanted to share with you the beautiful campaign from accessories label Lack Of Color.

Titled Sun Bathing In Arizona, it embraces the simplicity and power of neutral hues across a variety of designs and fabrics, while exploring fresh styles in the form of the label’s canvas cotton bucket hats, woven leather visors and baker boy caps.

My favorite styles from the current offering would have to be the Benson Tri in Brown, the Phoenix in navy trimmed with vintage ribbon and the Celestial Boater in black with glossy gold hardware. Bassike Resort Collection

Back To Bassike

I have to admit I am starting to miss the convenience of having my favorite Australian stores and brands just a short walk from my place in Sydney. Who knew that those silly creature comforts felt so good?! Which is why I turned to a few of my favorite Australian brands available here in LA this weekend to keep me in check.

My first stop was Bassike who have a bright beautiful store on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice. Where I (happily) spent all of my pocket money on their resort capsule collection. The new pieces that you’ll find in my wardrobe this spring include; A Classic Vintage Long Sleeved Dress in black . Palm Print Tee . Classic Vintage Tee in washed navy and also in black . Classic Beach Short in black and one pair of very chic Leather Slip On shoes.

Start Every Morning Over

Start Every Morning Over

I’ve been sitting here for the last week or so trying to write an eloquent and witty opening paragraph for this post. About how I’ve been terribly absent for the last twelve months because I’ve been preoccupied with work and other things. But then I backspaced and just deleted it all. Because small talk along with a long list of excuses just seems so futile…

The truth is the past year has been so much more of a journey of self discovery than I ever could of imaged. And although it’s hard to pinpoint what the single most defining moment was, I’ve stumbled across something buried deep inside me that has seen everything start to fall into place.

As for the future? I’m about to embark on an exciting new adventure, follow my dreams and move to the other side of the world. For that reason alone I know that my greatest achievements are still to come. While I would love to share more about my big move to LA, it’s actually way past my bed time. And I promised myself that I’d start getting to bed at a reasonable hour. So until next time…
