This week I arrived in Turkey, on a three week vacation. Here are the my summer travel essentials which I simply couldn’t live without…
An outfit which can take you from the beach to the bar. I always try to pack at least one outfit that can take me from day to night. It cuts down on packing space, and makes life easier all around. For my Turkey getaway, I’ll pack my favourite Scanlan and Theodore Silk Camisole, Finders Keepers silk shorts and a Finders Keepers summer dress.
A summer bag. I’ve always loved the Proenza PS1 Wallet on a chain and this new fringe detail just screams summer! It’s also the perfect cross body bag for sightseeing, especially when you don’t want to be lugging around a huge handbag.
Sunglasses. A classic pair of black shades are always ideal. This trip I’ll be packing a pair of classic pair of Retro Super Future as well as a few backups, just incase.
Black Bikinis. You can wear them as much as you want and it won’t be the bikini that you’ve worn every day. Plus, black always looks polished and classic. I’ll be packing my favourite from Anna and Boy Bikinis for this trip. Although I wish I was also taking the Marysia bikini set pictured above!
My new beach towel from Love Navy. Even the single sized ‘Moss The Boss’ beach towel from Love Navy is big enough to fit two people, (they also sell two people beach towels). It also adds a little attitude to any day by the seaside!
Make-up. Less is more when it comes to make-up on holidays. Always pack products that go that extra mile, like the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. You can use it to contour, as a bronzer and on the eyes and lips, too. I also always carry my Bobbi Brown Brow Pencil in Blonde. Even if you have little make-up on, if your brows are done you’ll always look fresh and polished.
Dry Shampoo. I won’t want to be washing and styling my hair every day so dry-shampoo will be a life saver on this trip.
My GHD Platinum. For those days when you want to actually do your hair and look a little more put together you can always count on your GHD. Also as it has universal voltage I can trust it to work anywhere in the world.
Sunscreen and Bali Body. I always take a bottle of Le Tan Face Sunscreen. It has a slight tint which actually provides excellent coverage. Perfect when you don’t want to go completely makeup free at the beach, but also don’t want the full coverage of a foundation. Le Tan SPF 15+ is also my sunscreen of choice. I’ve also packed a bottle of Bali Body to help me get that initial tan.
Fragrance. I always like to take a few fragrances, but one I’m definitely packing is Marc Jacobs Mod Noir. The gardenia scent is perfect for any Summer vacation. I’ve also packed a few regular favourites including DKNY Be Delicious and Michael Kors.
Flat leather sandals. This trip I have three pairs of new season sandals from Sol Sana and one new season pair from Seed. I’ve also packed a pair of heels, but i am 99% sure they won’t be worn!
