Australian favourite Camilla and Marc have released their new resort collection, drawing on aerodynamics from nature and technology as key inspiration. The label plays with print and texture while still remaining true to themselves by using their typical monochrome palette ( which I love ). They also include a little tencel denim, and in particular the perfect slouchy denim short, which are a must have for any summer season.

To view and shop the entire collection head in-store, or visit their website here

love | the dreamer label

Each and every morning on my walk to Coogee Beach I would stop out the front of a small store and gaze into a window filled with classic silhouettes, beautiful prints and timeless pieces. The name of the store was The Dreamer Label, and while I had never heard of the brand before, I was curious to find out what they were all about. A week later I sat down with their designer, Noa and talked through their short history, their current collection and whats to come in the future…

Is there a story behind the name, The Dreamer Label ?

I have always been a bit of a dreamer, and I have never seemed to lose my sense of wonder. After years of wondering if I could launch my own clothing label, and with a great encouragement from my life partner, we decided to take the deep plunge.

I was also inspired by one of my favourite song “Imagine” by The Beatles. The name also invites us to indulge our own dreams and encourages us to slip into reverie.

Tell me a little about your new collection, Fabric of Time…

I recently become fascinated with a science show about the fabric space of time. I was inspired how time and space can mapped and divided to units of geometric shapes and grid. Fabric Space gives us direction and position of any event occurs in space. Time and space are inherently related to each other.

The blooming flowers prints are symbols of the organic living nature surround us that constantly evolving and moving in the space and time. Each print integrates geometric shapes, images and overlaid, collaged patterns, and the collection is both modern and timeless. I’ve used natural fabrics including silk and tencel which are perfect for Australian summer weather.

Who is your ultimate customer ?

We welcome all girls of all ages to enjoy our vision. Our style, it’s like a point of view that you can be related. I like to create ageless staple pieces, simple, clean and relaxed, that will last for years.

How would you describe your own style ?

My style can be described as simple, clean and comfortable.

What inspires you ?

I am constantly inspired by my surroundings, music and movies. Inspired by the visual, fascinated by the scientific, digital and organic world.

What are the perfect accessories to compliment a Dreamer Label outfit ?

Dresses can be worn with scarves. All of my outfits can be worn with simplistic, minimalistic bags and shoes. I love footwear by Acne and simplistic bags by Miu Miu.

What does the future hold for The Dreamer Label ?

I just hope girls will love my style, and I’ll be able to continue creating beautiful pieces for my customers to enjoy.

Take a look at The Dreamer Label online here or at their flagship store and showroom, 103 Coogee Bay Road, Coogee.

A new season means the launch of another gorgeous new collection from May The Label. Over the last few months, I’ve literally become obsessed with the brands signature modern silhouettes and stunning exclusive prints.

Their new collection called Paradise, draws it’s influence from a summer spent between The Beverly Hills Hotel and The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. My favourites include the relaxed twin sets, flowing dresses ( in particular one called the Bliss Dress – which will definitely be featured in my next monthly list ) and printed denim. Perfect pieces for any summer occasion.

Available later this month, you can pre-order select pieces here
