my urban adventure with ford australia

Have you ever just wanted to get away, drive up the coast and take some time out? Well that’s exactly what I did over the Easter long weekend thanks to Ford Australia. For the last two weeks I have been test driving their new EcoSport SUV and over the long weekend I took the time to drive to Narrabeen I have to say, I love having a car. Driving gives you such a sense of freedom and I have always enjoyed heading up to the northern beaches because it reminds me so much of my home in WA.

Despite it taking over an hour and a half to get to Narrabeen the drive was comfortable and made easier with my favourite playlist hooked up up to radio. I cant say how thankful i was for voice over directions – otherwise I probably would have never made it.

While in Narrabeen I spent the day sight seeing, hanging out by the seaside and enjoying the beautiful weather we had. I stopped by a local store which I have been eager to visit, Aqwa Boutique for a touch of shopping. They stock an eclectic range of labels including Bec & Bridge, Sass & Bide, Zimmermann, Senso, Maurie & Eve and Dion Lee. My favourite thing about the store was the way that store owner, Emma knew almost every single customer who walked in. It was such a lovely sense of community and I couldn’t leave without picking up a few gorgeous new season pieces for myself.

For lunch I drove over to Barbuto Restaurant which is along the Narrabeen beach front. I have to say getting around town and parking by the beach was all made so much easier with my phone syncing navigation and swift car! Despite the EcoSport appearing to be a larger design it’s actually so easy to get around in, fitting into the smallest of parking spaces. As you can imagine with the weather we’ve had the beach car parks were packed with little space. After finding a super star space right out the front of the resturant, having a quick bite to eat and picking up some fresh flowers from a local store, I headed back to the beach where I stayed until the sun went down.

A girls guide to the Ford EcoSPort SUV :

  • So many cup holders – perfect when you have a few coffees on the go.
  • Keyless entry & keyless start and stop – for those who can never find their keys in their handbag!
  • Plenty of space in the boot – for all your shopping.
  • Automatically locks when you drive – safety first ladies!
  • Phone syncing capabilities and Ford’s voice-enabled in-car connectively system – quick and effortless.
  • Reverse Parking Assistance.
  • An illuminated vanity mirror for the driver.
  • Fuel efficient – Despite a rather long road trip ( almost 4 hours in total ) and city driving all week I haven’t even gone through a quarter of the tank. Basically I’m saving the earth and my pennies to put towards more shopping!
  • Easy access to a sunglasses holder.
  • Hill Start Assistance, you’ll never stall at the traffic lights or fear of rolling into the car behind you ever again.
  • And overall a super good-looking car which was a delight to drive.
