There comes a time when you are just ready to escape your routine and head for a vacation. We all need to relax, reset and recharge; Ideally somewhere remote and wildly scented in the Mediterranean. Where you can spend your days lazying around and listening to the sound of the ocean. Unfortunately for me, my boyfriend is the one who will be spending the next few weeks between the coastline of Turkey and the Greek Islands. While I will be very jealous and spending my time stuck in a very rainy Sydney. Luckily, I have the gorgeous new Zimmermann collection above to evoke memories of sun-filled days and dreamy sunsets.

A range of their signature styles and timeless shapes. Each piece created in romantic prints, sun-bleached hues and monochrome palettes. With ruffles, scalloped edges, off-the-shoulder sleeves, romantic lace and an effortless, dreamy bohemian spirit. It’s enough for me to get stuck into planning my next holiday and my next holiday wardrobe. With the entire collection perfectly placed on any sun-drenched escape. The Zimmermann The Winsome One collection will be available from September, however you can shop their gorgeous current collection by visiting their website here.

Channelling a mood of luxe free spirited bohemia, the Bec And Bridge MBFWA runway show was another one of my favourite collections presented at this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. Inspired by a recent trip to India, designers Becky and Bridget explored the visual explosion of culture, colour and chaos. Designing a resort collection which celebrates the spirit of an Indian summer.

Relaxed two-piece separates, one shouldered styles and free flowing dresses were key. Featuring unique details; Including raw hand-woven cottons, glowing embellishments and cascading trails of fabric, hanging from sleeves, ties and skirts. The continuity of fabric, delicate cut outs and textured embroidery created a stunning consistency and a resort mood of effortless styling. All brought to life in a perfect palette of gold, white, black and soft pink…

If you plan to escape our chilly Sydney weather for sunnier days overseas you will want to pick up at least one of six pieces already available to purchase from the collection via the Bec and Bridge website here. The rest of the collection will be available later in the year just in time for our Australian summer.

If you’re anything like me you would have already fallen in love with Georgia Alice. The New Zealand label who has taken the cool credentials of oversized dressing and elevated them with some very clever detailing and a definitive signature style. The labels MBFWA debut collection, a combination of easy silhouettes and fluid silk separates was one of my favourite presented at this years Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.

Featuring exaggerated sleeve styles, luxe fabrications and ribbon-like sashes in a muted colour palette. Each look was perfectly teamed with a pair of roman-styled sandals. They weren’t an obvious choice but I have no doubt that every fashion lover is sure to be wearing these by summer. To purchase the current Georgia Alice collection click here.
